A note for the Harvey design team
AI product designer and design engineer. Head of Design for Commercial and Small Business Lending at TD Bank, founder of HelloCourt, six filed AI interface patents, and 11 years designing the workflows regulated professionals live in.
Harvey's design postings ask for three things at once: AI-native craft, systems built in code as well as Figma, and judgment about high-stakes professional work. HelloCourt is evidence of all three in one product.
Research, roadmap, journey maps, epic and sprint setup, prototypes, the marketing site, the application, payments, security hardening, SEO, and launch. Structured around regulatory constraints so it stays compliant across multiple states. Built with Claude Code and Figma MCP, without a team.
The HelloCourt system exists as a Figma library and as shipped web components, with a delivery template that documents both for stakeholders and engineers. Tokens, theming, composition patterns, and accessibility built in.
Admin, permissions, configuration, and compliance-aware experiences for commercial and small business lending, payments, and wealth at Wells Fargo, Carson Group, and TD Bank. Design led from discovery through launch and reviewed at the C-suite.
Adaptive financial interfaces, predictive money movement, outcome simulation, and encrypted consumer document transfer, filed through TD Invent in 2025 and 2026. One earned a 2025 Visionary of the Year nomination.
I am looking for an individual contributor seat where I design and build. All are posted as hybrid in New York or San Francisco. I am in Charlotte and would ask for a remote arrangement with regular, scheduled time in either studio. HelloCourt is my evidence that I ship at distance.
| Role | What the posting asks for | What I bring |
|---|---|---|
| Senior or Staff Design Engineer, Design SystemsAI-native system, shipped in code.First choice | Build an AI-native design system; ship production-ready components with engineering; own component APIs, tokens, and theming; establish in-code prototyping. | The HelloCourt system in Figma and in production code, with the delivery template; React, Next.js, design tokens, accessibility by default. |
| Staff Product DesignerNew York or San Francisco. Applying through the New York req.First choice | Lead end-to-end product experiences with PMs, engineers, and AI researchers; shape the system; research; prototype; best practices for designing with AI. | Eleven years of end-to-end ownership on regulated products, a portfolio of shipped work, and a legal AI product of my own. |
| Product Designer, Design SystemsSan Francisco or New York. Also open | Build and evolve production-ready components, patterns, and documentation across Figma and AI-native workflows. | Same evidence, one level down; glad to talk about where the systems team needs hands first. |
| Senior Manager, Product Design, PlatformAdmin as a product. Posted September 4, 2026.Open to it if that is where the need is | Own Admin for the champions who run Harvey inside firms; run the design system as product decisions teams inherit; own the AI tooling the design org uses. | I lead this exact work at TD Bank today: lending admin, permissions, and configuration surfaces, a design system run as governance, and Claude Code and Figma MCP as the team's default workflow. My preference is an individual contributor seat where I ship, but if Platform is the seat Harvey needs filled, I would take it seriously. |
Four habits that show up in every product I have shipped.
I will walk through HelloCourt live: the product, the system in both forms, and the decisions behind the compliance structure. If the fit is what I think it is, we can talk about what a remote arrangement with regular studio time looks like.
